Appreciated like this, it is ideal as an easy-drinking summer wine, but it also offers a light and delicate touch as an accompaniment to all kinds of shellfish (oysters, scallops, clams, etc.) ; lean and flaky fish (Flounder, Perch, Porgy, Fluke, Tilapia, Pollock, Haddock, etc.) ; charcuterie or smoked/cured meat ; fruity and slightly tartish desserts such as apple or rhubarb crumble i.e.

Our Rieslaner wine is best paired with food items such as Cheese, Cured Meat and Salads, as well as white sauce pasta and rather spicy dishes as its sweet fruitiness can tame the heat and opens up more flavours.

Great to combine especially with Spicy Indian vindaloo or Thai curry ; Sichuan or Hunan cuisine ; Duck breast with a sweet fruit sauce ; Earthy venison medallion ; smoked duck breast

It is also absolutely gorgeous with desserts that have a good touch of tartness, like a grapefruit salad enriched with sweet liquor or rhubarb-crumble topped with a classic Italian zabaione i.e.

RIESLING

Renowned as one of the best white grape varieties in the world, Riesling is an excellent food wine.
In addition to pairing naturally with traditional German dishes such as sausages and pork-based dishes, it has a natural affinity with fish and shellfish, such as scallops, gracefully highlighting the salty, almost iodine flavours of the sea.
It is also delicious with poultry and is probably the only white wine grape that goes especially well with the Asian cuisine.

Hence this is a rather full-bodied Riesling it works well with more savoury meals such as turkey with gravy and Brussels sprouts or simply a good traditional Sunday Roast.
Because it is still fruity, even though dry, it even pairs well with a bit of not-too-sweet cranberry sauce.
It goes well with rather meaty fish such as Salmon, Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Swordfish or Tuna and is excellent with steamed Mussels, grilled seafood or a fresh Paella.

PINOT BLANC

Our Weissburgunder is an excellent dinner wine that fits well with most cooked fish such as Sea Bass, Trout, Red Snapper, Grouper, Cod or Hailbut i.e.) but also pairs perfectly with veal, pork and poultry.
Due to its slightly nutty fragrance it even suits very well with lamb and game.
It is also great accompaniment for pickles or an Italian Caprese salad and even Tofu.
Another classic and wonderful pairing would be white and/or green asparagus with sauce Hollandaise and young potatoes.

 

An excellent dinner wine.
